Colorado Springs CO - Healing Heat Therapy a website that conducts in-depth research into infrared saunas, is delighted to announce that visitor numbers have increased dramatically in the last quarter. The time that visitors are spending on the site once arriving has also grown exponentially, which the owner of the site Cody Martin believes is due to a number of different complementary factors. The site is now firmly established online as a leading resource for independent, honest and factually correct reviews and information. As with some of the best websites on the internet, Cody created Healing Heat Therapy out of frustration when forced to find a solution for a family member who was suffering crippling pain issues. Intrigued by the possibilities that infrared saunas could offer, he set out to research the different products and options available. After many months of frustration, misinformation and flawed research Cody decided the best thing to do was set up his own site and Healing Heat Therapy was born. As well as researching, writing about and even consulting with sauna manufacturers about their products, Cody is very active in the online community and is constantly involved on social media. A recent focus is now using Disqus and hoping to begin connecting with more people on that platform. It is this personal effort and dedication that makes Healing Heat Therapy stand out from the crowd, but having personal experience of the benefits of infrared saunas is what drives Cody to help as many people as he can. As more people have reached out to request information, the related Delicious data hub was also established and has seen an increase in views. Finally, Cody regularly has been releasing press releases since 2014 informing local and national media outlets about the latest products or stories within the industry as a whole. All of these strategies are reaping the rewards, and Cody has a number of other innovative new ideas and strategies that he intends to implement in the coming months. “It is almost impossible to describe the frustration, desperation, and isolation that long-term pain can cause, which is why the benefits I have seen my family member obtain from using infrared saunas are what I would describe as life-changing,” said Cody Martin. “That is why I am so driven and determined to inform and advise other people to help reduce their pain and suffering. I am delighted that the site is experiencing such rapid growth, and can only hope that my efforts are helping as many people as possible with their pain management.” Healing Heat Therapy have been reviewing saunas, studying infrared healing and talking with infrared sauna manufacturers since 2012. They are very fortunate to be able to talk with several sauna company owners on a regular basis. Colorado Springs Colorado - Healingheattherapy.com, a review site that focuses on the benefits of sauna therapy, technological breakthroughs and new products hitting the marketplace, is beginning to gain traction across the world. The site experienced its highest number of visitors during the fall period since it was launched six years ago, but although visitor numbers have climbed consistently over the last six years, they were predominantly from the United States. However, as the site has grown in popularity and established an online presence for its knowledgeable and in-depth content, its reach is now becoming international, which is fantastic news for site owner and founder Cody Martin. Cody was empowered to set up the site when a family member began struggling with significant pain issues, which were affecting their life, and traditional approaches did not seem to have much effect, without even taking the potential side effects into the equation. After many months of research, Cody became convinced that heat therapy was the solution to their problem, but was shocked to discover just how poor the information available online was. Due to his personal experiences and motivations, he decided to create the site with the intention of helping as many people as possible discover the benefits of sauna therapy. As well as running the website, creating new content on a regular basis, and conducting endless research, Cody is also very active on social media, as he finds this the best way to communicate and offer advice to people from around the world. His most recent Diigo account continues to grow on a daily basis, and this only encourages Cody to work harder as he can see his dream becoming a reality. As the website’s audience continues to expand, Healing Heat Therapy also added About.me as an easy way for visitors to locate Cody Martin and infrared sauna information and has been reaching a growing audience. “I have the one of the most rewarding experiences in the world in my opinion because I get to help people deal with their crippling pain every single day,” said Cody Martin. “Although I am not in the medical field, I have dedicated years of my life to researching and reviewing saunas for pain relief, and I love talking to different people every single day. In many ways, it doesn’t feel like work, because I derive so much pleasure from it, and even if I were only able to help one person then it would all have been worth it. Towards that goal, Instapaper bookmarking was recently started as part of our online network.” Cody continued, “The fact that we are now getting inquiries from all across the globe is simply exciting, and I cannot wait to start each day to reach more people. I have many new ideas planned for the website, so I hope that the growth and reach will continue to expand.” Healing Heat Therapy have been reviewing saunas, studying infrared healing and talking with infrared sauna manufacturers since 2012. Many have the typical social sites of Twitter and Facebook and often LinkedIn. But smart brand names have begun adding other online news and reporting properties to get to an even bigger audience. Healing Heat Therapy, a professional in infrared sauna education, has been a participant in this growing group of adapting brand names. "Our company firmly believes that infrared sauna therapy has the real potential to favorably influence a person's health and well being. Occasionally this affect can be called dramatic. As we have seen the rise in appeal of sauna use, we elected to broaden our on-line network much more. Because of the on-line public's overwhelming confidence in Crunchbase, we have actually started including information and updates to our existing Crunchbase page to maintain those readers’ education. Therefore, our Crunchbase has seen an extremely sharp surge in fans over current months," says Cody Martin, proprietor of Healing Heat Therapy. According to a February 2105 Forbes article, the percentage of web traffic to an internet site originating from social networks got to one-third for the very first time. It has actually been enhancing because that time. This has prompted many of the internet brands to adjust and also include smaller, more particular niche social sites such as behance and also brandyourself.com. Cody further continued, “This sauna brand informational resource site has actually additionally increased its attention on its Alternion internet site located here healingheattherapy.info/alternion, which is a lot less used than Wordpress or Crunchbase by viewers. Almost 5% of our blog viewers currently discover to us through our Alternion presence. Observing that, we have actually begun increasing our emphasis on that site as well. Alternion is a form of a database of a brand name's online properties and locations and is a significant listing of areas where site visitors can discover our web site. Some kinds of the information we provide on saunas and healing heat are much better suited for smaller media sites.” As social media visitor flow comes close to 50% of web traffic to sites, it cannot be ignored for expanding brand names. Web sites that might not be ranking on the all essential very first page of a Google search result can still see greatly raised volume of sales, consumers and site visitors due to this media visitor flow. Healing Heat Therapy was established in 2012 as a source for infrared sauna educational publications. Its owner meets with sauna business representatives and owners consistently to stay notified on market adjustments. Following its proprietor experiencing significant health advantages as a result of utilizing an infrared sauna, the site was created. It offers help for those considering this purchase which usually carries a high price tag and offers significant potential benefits. The report was published by Healing Heat Therapy, a name that is well known in the industry for providing detailed and accurate information. Strict qualifications were required for high placement on the current top infrared saunas list. Healing Heat Therapy evaluated multiple criteria gained from its 6 year history in order to narrow the field to those highlighted. When discussing the reasons for creating the list, Cody Martin of Healing Heat Therapy said, “We evaluated each brand on the features most important to potential buyers. However we additionally included criteria that many consumers would not know to demand in the product they purchase. As one example, we studied the length of time the company has operated under the same brand name and if they honored any prior warranty that had been offered under the prior company name. Companies have been known to go out of business and not honor warranties. This is a situation we want consumers to be able to avoid.” This is the third iteration of this year’s top rated sauna list. New information was gained on some top brands since its prior top infrared sauna list was reported here healingheattherapy.info/bestreport, however individual brand rankings remained the same. In this industry, for many potential business owners, the process to begin a new sauna brand appears to be relatively easy. Forming an LLC and contacting one of 4 Chinese factories is essentially all that is required. As a result, many new start ups form each year and nearly half of those will close the business within the first 4 years. This is the type of product and situation that Healing Heat Therapy's top ranking list can help consumers avoid. “We are often contacted by infrared sauna companies asking to be reviewed and added to the annual rankings,” continued Cody Martin. “However we rarely add a brand in that manner. Our current listings are based on 6 years of research. We also talk with the company owners and ask very direct detailed questions. A very important aspect is the additional focus we put on the individual products offered. As a result more health writers have begun to refernce us as seen here healingheattherapy.info/infraredhs. As an example one brand we have rated near the top of the list. But we also mention which of their models is superior to one of their other product lines.” Healing Heat Therapy provides detailed reviews of infrared sauna brands and their individual saunas as well as publishing detailed reports on various aspects of the industry. Their recently formed company news page has begun listing news worthy events. But what the most common sources of EMFs you will encounter on a regular basis? Natural Forms of Electromagnetic FieldsNatural forms have always existed. These are invisible to us but are present everywhere in our environment. They are often produced by the building up of natural electric changes in our atmosphere such as during thunderstorms. The natural field around the earth is what allows us to navigate by use of a compass which orients itself in a northern and southern direction. It is this same pull that is used by whales, fish and birds in their travel patterns.
Human Created FormsAlthough natural forms of electromagnetic fields do not normally pose a threat, we start facing problems due to the type of wavelengths made by man. On our site we list infrared sauna emf ratings for the top rated saunas as well as some less desirable brands. We can see some of the issues with made made versions of electromagnetic fields in this article on the WHO website:
Why do the man made forms as discussed above cause problems? Electric fields (EF) exist when there are differences in voltages. A stronger EF will result from a stronger voltage. Related to this are the Magnetic Fields (MF) which appear when electricity flows through some type of conduit and is the greatest when the current is the greatest. While the EF will exist even when there is not flow of current, the combination of EF and MF will create the EMFs we are discussing in this article.
What Are the Top Sources of EMFs in the Home?Cell Phones Cell phones may be the biggest culprit mainly due to the fact that they are carried at all times and often placed next to the ear and near the body’s brain when in use as discussed here:
Laptop Computers The length of time we are exposed to computers in various forms is the primary reason for the large amount of exposure. As LivingTheNourishedLife explains:
Wi-Fi Devices Any device that is using Wi-Fi via a network or wireless router will generate significant amounts of EMF radiation. We have so much smart technology in our lives that it is easy to forget about how much of it actually surrounds us. Wireless devices amplify this and pose a significant risk. Many homes have over a dozen such devices running at all times. This wireless form has been shown to cause cancer, reproductive issues and child development problems. You can protect yourself by turning off the Wi-Fi routers and devices when they are not in use. It is easy to protect yourself during the 8 hours each night by removing all wireless devices form your bedroom. Low radiation Wi-Fi routers have also come to market and should be considered. And always ask yourself - do I need this new smart technology device? Microwaves and Televisions These two have been around in our homes much longer than the 3 previously mentioned. Modern flat screen televisions actually produce much less radiation than older models which is a positive in the midst of all the other negative trends. However choosing one with addiitonal smart technology such as Wi-Fi will increase the exposure. Microwaves on the other hand emit enough radiation to literally cook food! They produces massive amounts of these electromagnetic fields. In our home, we choose to never use a microwave. If you do use yours, after starting the microwave, it is best to leave the kitchen while it is running. It is a small inconvenience that will easily minimize a massive amount of exposure. While there are many hidden sources in the home, the above five are the most common and largest visible sources of this type of radiation exposure.

As all brands appear to lay claim to being the top rated infrared sauna brand, help is needed to navigate the increasing amount of information. Healing Heat Therapy, a recognized expert in the industry since its formation in 2012, has just released its updated ratings of new and existing sauna companies. “Each year we update our rating chart based on interviews and many hours of research from the prior year,” remarked Cody Martin, owner of Healing Heat Therapy. “The infrared sauna companies are ranked according to not only the company performance but each product line’s specific features. We rank the best infrared saunas according to what we consider to be the most important criteria including low EMF readings, heater emissivity, use of clean components and warranty. Most consumers are not aware that virtually all of the saunas sold in the US are produced on 4 factory lines in China. That is the reason that many brands look nearly identical. Because they basically are identical.” A recent market analysis paper published by the Global Wellness Institute reports the spa and sauna industry has expanded by 10% per year during recent years. Another annual global report predicts at least a 7.2% annual growth rate from 2018 through 2022. As this industry is experiencing rapid expansion, many new companies are emerging and many of them without experienced leadership. The result has been an increase in the confusion for consumers amidst the conflicting information being released. As this is an industry with low barriers to entry, almost anyone can begin a startup. By simply forming an LLC and making contact with one of the manufactures in China, virtually anyone can begin selling under a new brand name in much less than a year. And this appears to be exactly what has happened in recent years. Longevity in the market is not a common occurrence as nearly half of the new start ups fail and close their doors within the first 5 years. This leaves the purchasers of their products without any effective warranty and little recourse for locating replacement parts or repairs. Amid this a lack of oversight, the confusion regarding what is a quality product has grown. Healing Heat Therapy has as its mission to clarify the decision process and shed light on not only those companies which possess a quality mindset, but also on those that would expose potential buyers to regret regarding what they have purchased. The company has the benefit of a real inside look behind the curtain of the sauna market. As Cody further explained their process, “We are fortunate enough to have nearly constant communication with the owners or representatives of the brands we research. For a few of the best infrared sauna brands, we talk monthly with the owners. This provides us with a rarely seen inside look into the upcoming product offerings and modifications. Many of the salespeople know us by voice and name. With this type of access, it is often easy to identify those that truly understand the market and those that are merely selling as a job which happens to be at a sauna company. For me personally, it is a lot of fun. For this most recent update, the top brands remained the basically same while one brand that entered our list two years ago has gained ground in the rankings.” As the purchase decision process has become increasingly murky, questions regarding the decision process have been on the increase to Healing Heat Therapy in recent months. Many newer brands provide little before and after purchase help or information and that is precisely the gap that Healing Heat Therapy attempts to fill. But as the company also sees its role of being a teacher, it has expanded its online presence to include data hubs such as Pearltrees to allow more visibility online. Cody also shared: “With all of the information we provide, we don’t want to be seen only as a data resource. We also attempt to carefully explain our decision process. Our goal is to teach consumers how to perform their own selection process. This not only reinforces their confidence in their eventual purchase, but assures they choose the right product for their family. This has really become important during the past 18 months. Clearlight, a top rated brand partnered with Jacuzzi in May of 2017 and during the agreement, consolidated its product lines. This removed a lower end line and added basswood options to their Premier line. We have tested publishing many of our detailed explanations also on our tumbler platform. From that platform, many have provided feedback that they have been able to clearly understand what happened and make a choice about that brand for themselves. Seeing consumers learn from our reports and resources is extremely rewarding for us.” Healing Heat Therapy was formed in 2012 after one of the owner’s family members experienced tangible health improvement from the use of an infrared sauna. After suffering for two years with a debilitating injury, they began diligent research for several months that led them to their sauna purchase. They share that the relief and excitement of seeing the physical progress for the first time in 2 years prompted them to begin sharing the information via website and reports. Eucalyptus and sometimes pine can be used. Cedar has a rich aroma and is most often associated with a sauna. Poplar is a clean wood and is best for chemically sensitive people. You have options when you purchase a sauna. An infrared sauna is designed for wellness and could last you decades, if not a lifetime. The components used will contribute to it longevity. The choice of components often appears like a complex decision but we will try to make it simple. Let's examine your choices of which timber is best to be used. What is Best Wood for Sauna?Cedar is the best choice for richness, aroma and the look of elegance. Poplar is best for those individuals who are highly sensitive to even natural smells and chemicals. Basswood and Eucalyptus are also excellent choices. Hemlock is a cheap and acceptable option. Pine should not be used. The best infrared sauna brands will typically use Red Cedar and the brand that is the purest uses Poplar.
Why is Cedar Used in Sauna?Cedar is used most often as it is a soft wood that will flex and resist cracking during thousands of heating and cooling cycles. Its naturals oils are also anti-bacterial and anti-fungal and provide that cedar smell most individuals enjoy. It is also very expensive to use for a sauna. The environment inside a cabin is heat and moisture combined with microbes and toxins being expelled from the body. In this environment cedar resists microbe growth. It also remains a little cooler than other options due to it being softer. This is the typical choice for a traditional steam room using wood burning or electric heaters. It has lower maintenance and is good for outdoor types of saunas. It is very durable with rich tones ranging from dark cherry to light red. Those are the primary reasons Western Redwood Cedar is the most often used in the industry. Some individuals who are hypersensitive may have problems with cedar as explained in this article:
HemlockHemlock is cheaper and is therefore used in some products to reduce costs. It is acceptable to use and is a relatively clean wood. It does tend to crack a bit more than some other woods due to its hardness and the prevalence of knots in the grain. It will also become hotter to the touch due to its hardness.
Poplar is Recommended and the Cleanest ChoicePoplar is the only commonly used wood that does not contain and therefore emit phenols. It is the wood of choice for an ultra pure product. Heavenly Heat Saunas are the purest choice for the chemically sensitive as their infrared saunas are made exclusively of this wood.
BasswoodBasswood is a good choice for a person that is sensitive to cedar or other resins. It is called hypoallergenic and does not emit any fragrance or toxins and is usually safe for those with allergies. It has a light, beautiful look and is usually of a very consistent color and contains few knots. It is a durable hardwood and is less likely to crack or warp with many heating cycles. A few brands including Clearlight have switched to basswood instead of Hemlock. One of the reasons companies have begun to use this is provided in this article from saunacloud:
EucalyptusEucalyptus is not often used but is now found as an option with companies such as Sunlighten. It is a fast growing product and cheaper than many other options. Many like this choice as it is very consistent in color and is easy to stain to match many different decors. We prefer options that are not stained or that use minimal, non-toxic treatments. Eucalyptus used in this industry usually does not have the strong aroma usually associated with Eucalyptus.
PinePine is sometimes used in framing due to its low cost. Hemlock, pine and spruce are cheap options for this purpose. In our opinion, pine should not be used in framing construction as it tends to not last as long as others woods and does emit some resins. It also tends to bend and warp more than other choices and reflects a low quality design. Pine framing is not desirable at all in a product intended to detox. We suggest asking if the brand you are considering uses pine in its framing.
SummaryIn summary, Cedar is an expensive, top of the line choice and is great for 95% of the population. When considering the health benefits, poplar is the best to use for a pure, clean experience and total detox. Basswood and Eucalyptus are also good choices. All of these woods handle hot temperatures and temperature changes well and will not dry out or crack easily. Sourced from Original Article Here: What is the Best Wood to Use for a Sauna? via Blogger What is the Best Wood to Use for a Sauna? Do Saunas Need Front Heaters? One of the critical elements in choosing an infrared sauna is the locations of the heaters. The emissivity and power of the heating elements is critical, but their location is an area that many brands struggle to utilize. A key to deep detoxification and sweating is raising your core body temperature to a high enough degree. You want to have heaters on all sides of your body when seated. This includes behind and beside your legs and importantly on the front wall of the unit. Unless your front side is heated, you will not effectively detox your body. One of the problems with carbon heaters is that, while the heat they produce can be a higher quality, they produce less of the needed wavelengths. To accommodate for this, many companies add carbon all the way up over your head and nearly up to the ceiling. This essentially heats the air but does not add benefit to the intended beneficial detoxification. You need heaters pointing directly at you as light moves in a straight line. Comparison Chart We have a comparison chart that details the best infrared saunas on the market. The top brands all provide an exceptional amount of heat with heating elements in all the required locations.
Infrared Sauna Brands with Front Heaters
One exceptional brand which is unrivaled in its purity and medical grade heaters is Heavenly Heat. Heavenly Heat took an excellent approach in its one person unit which is pictured above. Bob Morgan, the owner, noticed that two other brands simply reduced the size of their 2 person units and removed heaters in the process. So instead he designed their 1 person unit with a door on the side. This allowed for the entire front wall to contain 2 heaters as well as retain them on both side and back. Heavenly Heat is perhaps the only brand fully built and manufactured in the USA. That is the main reason it could have this type of radical design as it has the freedom to do everything exactly as it should be done. This is the best designed 1 person unit and it is provides the most powerful ceramic heat on the market.
Another brand that is every efficient in its designs to maximize the square inches of wall space available in a cabin is Vital Health. Vital Health units are owned and designed by a former engineer which explains the efficient use of cabin space. Pictured above is a front corner of the brand's smaller units showing how efficiently the space is utilized. To receive the full benefit of infrared, your body need to be surrounded by the heaters. The majority of saunas produced even just 5 years ago did not have front heaters. Many also omitted them on the side walls and importantly, behind the legs. Having infrared behind the legs is important for a full body exposure to the healing light waves. But having them behind the legs also helps keep the entire body close to an even temperature. The Fitness Zone states this very clearly and directly:
The following article, in discussing why having light waves surrounding the body agrees with the previous article:
High Emissivity is NeededWhile both of these articles mention that most companies do not include front heating, more brands are beginning to add them. As a result, a higher percentage of brands now included these compared to 5 years ago. However, additional units for the sake of filling walls does not directly correlate to an improvement in the benefits of that company's products. Having the right type of high-emissivity panels is what is most important. As an example, although one popular yet cheap brand appears to use weaker generic carbon panels, it has posted on its site an excited announcement that they now include them also in the front. It is announced with all capital letters and an exclamation point! While we like to see the additional heaters as mentioned by that company's website, it is only one part of providing you with the most healing benefits. Clearlight saunas, a top rated brand for 5 years on our Best Infrared Saunas Comparison chart, shares very clearly where they place their highest emmisivity heaters:
It is clear that heating elements on the front wall is a desirable placement to send these healing wavelengths to all sides of your body. It is important to remember that infrared travels in a straight line. Without heating elements in front of you, that portion of your body will not receive the light waves or the healing properties they carry. These light waves also do not penetrate wood. So it is confusing and disappointing to see a few brands place dozens of wooden slats in front of the heat elements. There are 4 brands which look identical and all have several dozen of these slats. While they promote this as a more comfortable way to lean back into the back wall of the cabin, they are also blocking nearly 60% of all of the infrared. It should be noted that the reason all 4 brands look identical is because they are. They are all produced in the same assembly line in China and are the identical products. Only the brand name is different and all are actually dealers of the same brand. When choosing your brand, ensure that there are adequate heat elements all around your body. A second critical component is to ensure that the carbon panels or ceramic elements are actually high emissivity elements. Please consult our brand comparison chart, read the reviews of the top 4 rated brands. When you choose based on those recommendations, you will have a sauna that will last for decades. And you will have all of the heating elements you need for deep detoxification and the other benefits this therapy is known to provide. Healing Heat Therapy has announced the launch of its new online network expansion, which went live in early October 2018. For those interested in Infrared Saunas, this new development will be worth paying attention to, as it is intended to make researching saunas on the go easier. Currently in the industry most companies ignore small yet popular niche social sites in favor of the large known sites such as Twitter, Facebook and Pinterest. The Owner at Healing Heat Therapy, Cody Martin, makes a point of saying, "Things are going to change for our readers when our online network expansion service launches. We have had some requests to expand into the smaller sites such as lookuppage and some that others have enjoyed for several years. A portion of our followers are part of the older generation and have had their favorite media sites for years. We have found that these readers do not really want to learn or join other media platforms. So we are expanding to reach a wider audience." Recent publications have reported that major company website visitors originating from social media has now reached 50%. That percentage is predicted to increase substantially over the next 5 years. For this reason, companies wanting to maintain their current reach and add more people to their audience are adapting. Healing Heat Therapy is one of those firms that is choosing to adapt. Cody Martin continues..."Where you'll always see our competitors doing the same old thing, we will provide detailed research reports that are easy to find and read anywhere. Even on mobile devices and on the platforms we have been asked to provide. One we added is itsmyurls as a hub for our online properties. We do this because we believe we discovered a significant percentage of our readers found us through these platforms. Ultimately this is going to be a huge benefit to our customers because it will reach more mobile users that enjoy less well known social media channels." Healing Heat Therapy was established in 2012. It has been researching the industry for 6 years and it has always aimed to reach potential purchasers of infrared saunas. Currently, the closest way to gain the same information that Healing Heat Therapy's blog network will provide is contacting the infrared sauna owners themselves. But for consumers this can be a time consuming process and it is riddled with frustration and misinformation. Healing Heat Therapy has removed this need as it has been contacting those company owners on a monthly basis to stay current on changing infrared trends and additions to product lines. It then shares the updated information is learns in its own regular updates on places such as thenounproject. This alone is predicted to make Healing Heat Therapy's network expansion service more popular with customers in the Infrared Saunas space. The online network expansion service has launched already in early October 2018. This can be in salt caves or by use of a Halogenerator to reproduce the natural climate by diffusing the fine mineral dust in a confined space.
What is a Halogenerator?"A Halogenerator is an instrument which diffuses the salt, consisting of negative chloride ion and positive sodium ion, into a confined space. Through breathing, the molecules will enter the lungs and release the negative ions into the moist airways. This attracts excess mucous and fights bacterial infections. Most of us have grown up believing that adding salt to food is dangerous and bad for our blood pressure. So it may surprise us to learn that breathing it in may be beneficial for us due to its anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial characteristics. Jacuzzi® Clearlight infrared saunas has added a very high quality Halogenerator to its product line up. It can be hung on the inside wall of a sauna or used in any other small confined space - even your vehicle. It is expensive, yet much less than the cost of many others. If you contact Clearlight to ask about this, I suggest first reading our complete in depth Jacuzzi sauna review to become more familiar with their products and what to ask when you call them. Jacuzzi Clearlight sauna is a top rated brand for many reasons and it is the brand of sauna we have in our home. Despite being far from universally accepted as a scientifically proven fact, this is becoming a popular therapy. Studies have shown improvement in respiratory symptoms while some medical health experts have called Halotherapy an unproven treatment and attribute many of the improvements to the placebo effect.
Does Halotherapy Really Help?"Salt Therapy does appear to be beneficial. Respiratory sufferers do experience some degree of relief from symptoms. Salt particles are inhaled and settle on the airways drawing in water. This action thins the mucous making it easier to expel and can relive some allergy suffering as well.
What Are the Benefits of a Salt Room? The inhaled dry salt particles attract excess mucous in the lungs, reducing inflammation. Respiratory conditions including allergies, asthma, bronchitis and Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) have been shown to improve.
Can Salt Therapy be Harmful?Salt Therapy appears to be safe for adults and children. No harmful effects have surfaced in normal use or Halotherapy studies. In natural salt cave environments, miners and others have been found to have improvements in respiratory conditions. Man made caves often have separate adult caves and child caves. Just how popular has it become? The cave in Williamsburg Virginia, one of the first in the US, was started by Agnieszka Drygala . He imported 15 tons of the mineral to create the mineral rich environment as expalined in the following article:
The Organic Spa Magazine goes on to share information of another cave and spa in Asheville, NC that surrounds you with over 20 tons of mineral crystals.
What is a Salt Room Session?A salt room session is a scheduled time in a natural or man-made salt cave utilizing Halotherapy a natural, drug free therapy that improves respiratory and skin conditions, sleep and overall wellness. A session can also be at home utilizing a Halogenerator in a confined space.
Is Salt Therapy Good for COPD?Modern spas have begun offering halotherapy, called salt therapy. This involves breathable salt particles intended to improve respiratory conditions including lung conditions like COPD and asthma. In 1843, Feliks Boczkowski noted the benefits while treating miners in the Wieleczka Salt Mines and is considered the father of our modern Halotherapy. While the therapy dates back to ancient Greece, Feliks Boczkowski was credited with first documenting the effects on patients. Feliks was a Polish medical doctor who noticed his patients from the Wieleczka Mines did not suffer from the same lung problems that workers in other mines experienced. It appears to be effective in treating more than the respiratory system, flu and sinus problems. As the air borne molecules contact the skin they appear to treat ailments including eczema, psoriasis and acne.
How Much Does Salt Therapy Cost?A salt session will range from $20 to $60, depending on the size of the cave or sauna. A typical Halogenerator can cost $6500, and is considered an expensive investment. One top rated infrared sauna company has added a top quality halogenerator for much less at $2500.
Are Salt Caves Safe During Pregnancy?Salt therapy would normally be safe at any stage of a pregnancy. One session of 45 minutes is equivalent to 3 days at a salt water beach. This is as safe as breathing in air at the beach and safer than medication for respiratory illnesses. However, we recommend discussing this with your physician. An article from popular healthline website had this to say as it reflected on the apparent rise in attention to this therapy:
We agree with healthline that the mineral lamps may simply be for ambiance. And there is now a lot of hype surrounding this idea which is not new but is certainly gaining in popularity. While we at Healing Heat Therapy have not personally tried this form of therapy, it has enough support to show promise in helping sinusitis and related sinus infections. Clearlight, a company that for over two decades has provided the best of infrared therapy to its sauna customers, has recently added a Halogenerator. The company has shown such dedication to innovation and the highest quality standards that we think it does warrant a consideration.

Jacuzzi wanted to expand its product offerings to include infrared saunas and in May 2017, Jacuzzi agreed to form a partnership with Clearlight. Jacuzzi selected Clearlight after conducting over 2 years of due diligence. We explain the decisions and details behind the partnership to help you select a great infrared sauna. What Does this Jacuzzi Clearlight Partnership mean for Us? Their decision to select Clearlight should give you a great deal of confidence in choosing this brand for your own home. We have a full Jacuzzi® Clearlight infrared sauna review based on research from the past 6 years. We have rated this brand as a top choice for 6 years and are encouraged to see a company with the standards of Jacuzzi to choose them as a partner. Who makes the Jacuzzi® Infrared Saunas?Sauna Works, the company that has made Clearlight Premier and Sanctuary infrared saunas for 22 years continues to be the manufacturer. For 22 years, Sauna Works, under the guidance of its founding owner, Dr. Raleigh Duncan, has manufactured what are perhaps the top infrared saunas available. Certainly the top carbon panel based models. Their True Wave II heaters have ceramic fibers woven into the carbon panels producing the most penetrating wavelengths of infrared heat of any carbon panels. It was this reputation for extreme quality that prompted Jacuzzi to consider Clearlight, which was the first to pioneer the blending of ceramic and carbon heater. This resulted in a heater able to deliver a more penetrating wavelength and a deeper healing, detoxification and warmth. All of this was available to the user at the lowest EMFs, or electromagnetic fields, available at the time. It continues to lead with near zero EMF heaters. Jacuzzi pioneered the hydrotherapy industry and is still the leader in hot tubs. It also manufactures walk in showers, pool equipment and everything needed to create your own bathtub and in home spa retreat. Its hot tubs use what they refer to as hydromassage for competitive athletes and the everyday weekend warrior athlete. Warm water has long been known to help the body and mind to relax and promote internal health and healing. It can relieve stress, lower back pain, muscle cramps and sleeplessness. Its due diligence, investigating and considering major brands in its decision of choosing a business partner spanned nearly 2 1/2 years. In the end it appears as though this partnership and licensing agreement is a perfect fit as stated by Dr. Raleigh Duncan:
As the above article clarified, there was no purchase. It was a licensing agreement reached after months of discussions. The same quality that has been the backbone of this top rated brand’s Premier and Sanctuary models is the same that is still being designed into them today. The effectiveness of the True Wave II heaters and the long standing commitment to the highest quality was behind the decision as shared here:
Both of these companies individually have received numerous awards over the years. As CEO Bob Rowan has expressed, their company has as its focus the well-being and improvement of their customers' lives. Their brand is known for the highest level of quality. One such example is their winning of the following spa of the year award:
At Healing Heat Therapy, we are fortunate enough to be able to talk with the owners of several industry leaders on a regular basis. This access keeps us informed as to the details of agreements such as this, as well as model changes and improvements. We have seen this brand add some great additions to its lines as well as adding new features. One very interesting addition has been the 5 person outdoor Sanctuary 5 model that can be controlled from indoors via a smart phone or tablet app. We anticipate even more additions during the rest of 2018 and into 2019.

Full Article Can be Found Here: Did Jacuzzi Buy Clearlight? The Infrared Sauna Partnership Explained via Blogger Did Jacuzzi Buy Clearlight? The Infrared Sauna Partnership Explained The burgeoning infrared sauna market has increased by 50% over the past 4 years, leaving many potential buyers wondering about the best ways to use a sauna most effectively. Healing Heat Therapy, well reputed in the industry, has recently updated their guidelines regarding what is one of the main points of confusion for users. That point of confusion is how to choose the ideal temperature for infrared sauna use. These updated guidelines, which are now published on Healing Heat Therapy’s website dedicated to infrared sauna healing benefits, look to clarify this important question. “One of the most misunderstood aspects of infrared sauna use is that of temperature settings,” says Healing Heat Therapy owner Cody Martin. “Many users believe the ideal infrared sauna temperature is simply the higher the better. As a result, many users often set the temperature much too high and wait until this high temperature has been reached before entering the sauna. This often results in the heaters cycling on and off which actually reduces the amount of infrared the user receives. We really wanted to help educate the typical user on the subject of what is an average ideal sauna temperature.” The 2018–2022 edition of a global spa and sauna annual report was recently published in August with an outlook for the worldwide industry. The report, which was titled The Global Spa and Sauna Component Market, provided readers with a global analysis of the history and outlook for the industry. Its focus included the factors that have fueled the global growth and the trends that will continue to do so into the next 4 years. With this increasing market demand, more is needed in the area of product education. “The lack of consumer help on proper usage is disappointing. We believe understanding proper temperature settings will allow many more people to receive the health improvements that they are seeking when using infrared therapy,” Cody further added. “A very high temperature will result in much more profuse sweating. However, this is accompanied by a high level of electrolyte loss and a corresponding reduction in the amount of toxins removed from the body. For many it may seem a little counter intuitive, but a longer session at a lower temperature will produce much more of what is ultimately the desired benefits.” Industry leading companies have been increasing their product offerings and have been experiencing a subsequent increase in sales. However, along with these excellent offerings, other smaller and less beneficial start ups have emerged. This trend has further diluted the available education and information on how to best use the products. Following the August 2018 release of the industry outlook, contacts to Healing Heat Therapy containing questions on usage tips have noticeably increased. Due to the report’s attention to the forecasted growth, many of these questions center on how hot to set an infrared sauna. Most information found online related to average sauna temperature guidelines simply states to set the unit to a comfortable level. Specific help is usually missing from even large industry websites and user manuals. This was part of the impetus for Healing Heat Therapy’s attention to updating its published guidelines for use. The benefit of these devices as well as their increasing popularity was recently supported further by a paper published by the Mayo Clinic. The Mayo Clinic is world-renown for its focus on healing lung diseases, cancer, heart valve diseases and other serious health issues. The Clinic has just published its findings in its August 2018 proceedings paper. Saunas were found to have numerous health benefits. However, the proper sweating needs to take place for a large percentage of these benefits to occur. As Cody Martin again shared, “To get a bit more technical, the Eccrine glands, which handle most of the body’s daily sweating processes, are certainly activated in very high temp saunas. However, the desired goal is to also activate the Apocrine glands. These secrete sweat which contains significantly higher levels of organic compounds and fats. A lower temperature sweat will accomplish this.” It appears the overall market is poised to increase over 50% during the next 4 years. In this current environment of increasing attention to the benefits of infrared saunas, Healing Heat Therapy believes the information they have provided can positively impact a significant amount of consumers. In response to all of the increased attention to these products, the company’s belief is that their newly published updates are in fact vital to all sauna users. As a result, the company has released the updated guidelines information to its entire Blogger network and to its other numerous social media outlets. Additional tips for gaining the most from a session are found at www.healingheattherapy.com/infrared/benefits/best-results-tips, as well as a section on the website dedicated to overall benefits. This is a trend that we welcome. And it includes traditional and established resorts usually steeped in the tradition of Finnish only. Pools, spas, hot tubs, infrared and steam are joined together to offer guests a myriad of choices as they seek to relax. The future looks very bright for all forms of infrared and steam therapies. Our direct connections with numerous company owners has allowed us to see ever increasing sales during the past 18 months. As we look at 2019 and beyond, we see the upcoming years as a time of tremendous growth for this market. We will continue to research and publish findings as to the best far infrared saunas on the market.
Infrared Saunas Added into Traditional Steam SettingsThe tradition rich, Austria-based Ebner’s Waldhof has added infrared saunas to its amenities. Prices for a stay at the Ebner's Waldhof range from $250 to upwards of $650. Guests at this exclusive hotel resort, which is located in Austria in the mountains of Sound of Music fame, have their choice of steam rooms, spas and infrared:
Another excellent example is the Radisson Royal Hotel in Moscow which now offers infrared therapy to its guests. The Royal Hotel was established in 1957 and is surrounded by the traditions of Moscow. Yet even in this environment of Russian heritage, with its Russian steam baths and bathhouses, the modern healing treatments are available. Guests also have access to a large pool. But this is no ordinary pool. It holds its place in Russia’s Book of Records as the record-breaking longest hotel indoor swimming pool. And now next to a the lane swimming pool and alongside a Russian bath (banya) is the infrared cabin:
Some have resisted the inclusion of modern cabins in a part of the world that has long held the traditional view of hot steam rooms and baths being the only true spa experience. However, the use of public saunas in hotels has reached enough popularity that Olympic Hot Tub has published its rules for proper etiquette in these environments. Their rules include simple common rules such as using what they call your indoor voices and showering prior to using a spa or steam room as well as the following:
That last guideline may seem like common knowledge. However, what is all too common is the breaking of that rule. A door held open for even a minute allows the beneficial hot air to escape and breaks the relaxation environment by allowing outside noises to invade the occupants' setting.
Industry Report and OutlookA recent industry report form September 27, 2018 forecasts a bright future for the industry. The market overall has grown by 50% during the past 5 years and is predicted to continue this trend says this report:
While the report delves deeply into a dizzying amount of details, facts and figures, the overall message is clear. This market has been increasing and will continue to increase significantly during the next half a decade. The same report goes on show how industry players are expanding their offerings due to this foretasted demand increase:
We are very glad to see this great tool for health and healing gaining more attention and we are looking forward to what the new year brings to the market. We already know of an enrichment one company will be adding to their current offerings. And another company is finishing the testing of another size of one of their units. Original Source Here: Infrared Saunas and Spas Trending for 2019 at Luxury Resorts via Blogger Infrared Saunas and Spas Trending for 2019 at Luxury Resorts The infrared sauna market has seen a rapid increase in popularity and some industry companies have searched for ways to gain more exposure by expanding their online presence. Most have the traditional social sites of Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn. But savvy brands have begun adding other online properties to reach an even larger audience. Healing Heat Therapy, a specialist in infrared sauna education, is a part of this group of adapting brands. “We believe that infrared sauna therapy has the potential to positively affect a person’s health. Sometimes this affect can be described as dramatic. As we have seen the increase in popularity of sauna use, we chose to expand our online network even more. Due to the online public’s overwhelming confidence in Wordpress, we have begun adding blog posts to our existing Wordpress blog to keep those readers informed. As a result, our Wordpress blog has seen a very sharp rise in followers over recent months,” says Cody Martin, owner of Health Heat Therapy. This sauna brand has also increased its attention on its Weebly website, which is much less used than Wordpress by most writers and readers. As Cody Martin further explained, “The Weebly platform is a bit unique in that it has become more difficult to build on that platform in the past two years. But websites on the platform tend to have a very loyal following. Fortunately, we established our Weebly network almost 3 years ago. Nearly 10% of our blog readers now find to us through our Weebly presence. Noticing that, we have begun increasing our focus here as well.” According to a February 3, 2105 Forbes article, the percentage of traffic to a website originating from social media reached one-third for the first time. It has been increasing since that time. This has promoted many online brands to adapt and add smaller, more niche social properties such as behance and brandyourself.com. As Cody added, “Our Healing Heat Therapy brandyourself platform has become important to our brand. It is a repository of a brand’s online properties and is a tremendous listing of places where visitors can find our website. Some forms of the information we provide on saunas and healing heat are better suited for smaller media sites. On this particular site, we are able to embed our important blogs and resources in such a way that readers can view all current updates on many of our locations right from the brandyourself page. After adding our listing, we have begun to see a small but increasing flow of visitor traffic.” Many companies have been slow to adopt social media sites outside of the largest and well known. But as social media visitor flow approaches 50% of traffic to websites, it cannot be ignored for growing brands. As of July, 2018, mobile first traffic has dramatically risen in importance. Websites that may not be ranking on the all important first page of a Google search result can still see greatly increased volume of visitors, customers and sales due to this switch. Over the next few years this is very likely to gain even more news exposure. Healing Heat Therapy was founded in 2012 as a resource for infrared sauna informational. Its owner meets with sauna company representatives and owners regularly to stay informed on industry changes. Following its owner experiencing marked health benefits as a result of using an infrared sauna, the site was formed. For additional information, company contact information is provided below. Website: https://www.healingheattherapy.com via Blogger Healing Heat Therapy Expands its Online Footprint as Infrared Sauna Market Increases Recent Growth of Infrared PopularityWe know that infrared saunas provide tremendous health benefits. As more consumers are educated, they have become increasingly popular and more often a topic of conversation. A friend of mine first had one in his home over 20 years ago along with a hot tub. He informed me at that time that his guests had very quizzical looks when seeing these in his home. However, today, when anyone visits our home, one of their first comments is regarding the Clearlight corner sauna we have in the living room. Most people are somewhat familiar with what it is and how it works. Recently, a doctor friend visited and immediately commented that he had just purchased one the prior month (with some help from this review website, of course, as he finally begrudgingly admitted).
Top Infrared Saunas for 2019We are excited about some great updates right around the corner. We are fortunate enough to be able to regularly talk with the CEOs, owners and salespeople of some of the best brands. This month we are finishing up another round of talks and interviews. As a result, we will be updating our Best Brands page very soon to help you choose the Best Home Sauna. A significant reason for the increased attention to this industry is the identifiable benefits you can experience. At the end of this article we focus on a recently issued report which forecasts significant market increases. But first, here is a tremendous story reported just last week. It highlights that some local Springfield Firefighters were given a sauna to help detox from the many harmful substances they are exposed to as a normal part of their daily job:
The protocol is the firefighters take a shower after a fire to remove the carcinogens on their skin as a result of the smoke. The firefighters then use the infrared therapy followed by a ride on an exercise bike. Although it was not noted as the final step, we are, of course, hoping the last step is for another shower as a courtesy to the others around them.
Health Benefits Promoted in Washington Post This Month
So we looked into just how much the interest in this health improving technology has grown.
How Popular Have Infrared Saunas become? The Infrared Sauna market has grown by over 50% during the past 5 years. In the United States, the areas that have shown the most growth are Minnesota (which has historically held a strong interest in the traditional variety), North and South Dakota and Montana. The overall market for infrared and traditional steam has increased during the same 5 years just slightly less, meaning interest in infrared has outpaced traditional or steam. Alaska has been the state to have the largest overall market increase.
Industry Market Growth PredictionsA global industry report is distributed every fall summarizing forecasts for the upcoming years. This past month the latest report was issued:
The overall market does face the challenge of increasing components costs. A few brands, however, have remained committed to keeping the costs in line and provided excellent value through innovation and improved health benefits. We detail the top brands addressing these issues in our Brand Comparison page.

But what is this process of detoxing talked about by so many websites? To clarify the terms, these substances fall into two main categories. They are internal poisons and external poisons. But what exactly are toxins? A clinical definition is any poison type substance that enters the body or is a result of our body’s metabolic activity. Basically this is anything that is harmful to our bodies. It sounds vague and inclusive of many things and that is a result of all the different types of toxins. It does help to understand a bit more about the types and causes as this helps in understanding how to remove them. How do we get rid of these Contaminants? There are a few good ways to remove them from our bodies. Far Infrared is one the best and easiest way to accomplish this. The following is advice from Clearlight Sauna, one of our top recommended brands and an industry leader:
It is generally recommended to start out slowly, with 10-15 minute sessions twice a week. Then gradually increase the amount of time of each session. Detoxification is more productive with at least 3 sessions per week and at least 25 minutes at at time. An ultimate goal would be 30 minutes at least 5 times per week. When you can comfortably handle this, you will be dramatically improving your overall health and helping your internal processes perform their normal cleansing activities. What are Internal Toxins?Internal poisons are part of our everyday lives and are produced as a normal part of daily activities. Our body will constantly repair and replace worn out cells. This is a normal part of our body’s energy production. However, this also produces internal waste materials that can poison us from the inside. So these simply need to be broken down and eliminated. The problem arises when we do not properly break these down or fully eliminate them. When we have what is referred to as toxic overload, these actually can be stored up in the body. Especially today as we over stress ourselves and are faced with an ever increasing amount of external poisons, we can have significant build up. All of this build up can sometimes harm surrounding tissues. We simply need a way to properly detox so that our systems function smoothly and fully. The following article describes this internal type:
What are External Toxins? The above article excluded chemical substances that are manufactured and enter the body from the outside. These are known as external poisons. These would include substances that are ingested, inhaled or absorbed through the skin. One main culprit is glyphosate, also known as RoundUp. This weed killer is used pervasively in large scale farming and in local neighbor yards. Over 9 million Tons have been sprayed on yards and fields worldwide. Glyphosate has been shown in research to be an endocrine disruptor. This means that it greatly interferes with the production and functioning of hormones. This alone is a great reason to detox. BPA is another toxic substance which is used in plastic bottles and the lining of cans. Unfortunately, nearly half of all food producers still use this although it has been proven to poison the body. Global Healing Center talks about the pervasiveness of these contaminants:
As we can see from even the above article, we are bombarded with poisons in many forms on a daily basis. Choosing to eat organic foods and avoid ingesting synthetically manufactured substances are terrific initial steps in helping the body deal with cleansing on its own. But we also have decades of exposure to foreign substances which accumulate in our bodies. These need a direct approach to remove. Infrared saunas are one of the top methods of removing these from our bodies. However, remember that not all saunas provide infrared that will deeply penetrate and release the contaminants from your cells. Many lower priced units actually provide little benefit. Before selecting a sauna, we encourage you to read our individual brand reviews. These will help you choose one that has been proven to positively detoxify the user.
Images from infraredsauna.com, hairanalysisreport.com, globalhealingcenter.com Original Source Here: Infrared Saunas Can Remove Both Internal and External Toxins via Blogger Infrared Saunas Can Remove Both Internal and External Toxins What is ELF?Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) has become an issue of concern lately for infrared sauna users. Extremely low frequency radiation falls at the far lower end of the electrical spectrum. These are electrical fields which measure from 0 to 100,000 Hz. One sauna company has been at the forefront in testing and shielding sauna users from ELF. For now, it appears that Clearlight is the first company that has directly addressed this murky area of infrared. This company has been an innovator in infrared technology numerous times during the past 20 years. Again they appear to be the first to directly protect users from extremely low frequency as they state on their website:
Clearlight Saunas have attempted to address the potential issue using two methods. They run all electrical wiring through metal conduit piping, which shields the wiring. They also twist the wires which they state reduces the exposure even further. To our knowledge, this is the only brand to address Electric Fields in this manner.
Are ELF a Health Risk for Sauna Users? The concern about excessive exposure to Electromagnetic Fields, called EMFs, were first raised almost 40 years ago. At that time research showed a connection between exposure to EMF and certain types of serious health conditions including childhood leukemia. Since that time there has been increased awareness regarding the safety of electromagnetic fields. Recently, more concern has been directed specifically at ELF. This is often simply referred to as Electric Fields. Power lines are the most common culprit which radiate an electric field. However, any electrical appliance will radiate some level of Electric Fields. While we cannot completely eliminate all exposure, our goal should be to minimize direct exposure where possible. The sunlighten.com.au website has this to say about this topic:
We know that use of infrared for healing can dramatically improve overall health and that all infrared devices will result in some degree of exposure to electric fields. So the key is to keep the amount at a safe level. What is the safe level for normal activity? In their post Exposure to extremely low frequency magnetic fields induces fos-related antigen-immunoreactivity via activation of dopaminergic d1 receptor, PubMed suggests it to be 1000Mv. The American Cancer Society provides additional examples and information on the risks:
It appears that less is known about ELF than EMF. What is important is that levels above 1000 Mv can potentially be harmful and should be avoided when possible. As previously mentioned, we are pleased to see at least one company aggressively addressing this area of concern. Clearlight's site additionally has this to say about testing levels and the tested level of their units:
We are bombarded by all forms of currents on a daily basis from appliances. It is our opinion at Healing Heat Therapy that while addressing these in regards to infrared use is critical, it is not necessary to reduce all exposure to zero. The important issue is to address them in a significant manner and to substantially reduce the levels of exposures. Once that is accomplished, as consumers we should move ahead with the purchase of a sauna and use it regularly. Being anxious about what little levels remain likely does much more harm to the body through stress than any exposure that remains. We are glad to have witnessed many companies addressing these related issues during the past decade and look forward to seeing more address the issue of ELF as well.

Mainly focused on its benefits and how it is becoming more popular as an option in infrared saunas. This article highlights a little more of the individual benefits the various colors provide. As far back as 1987, in a book which became a best seller entitled Color Me Beautiful, author Carol Jackson wrote about how various colored clothing would highlight a person’s eyes. Different people had different palates of clothing which could create various images for the same person. She also wrote about chromotherapy and how it could enhance a person’s mind and body. Even confidence could be influenced by choosing certain shades of clothing. Now, decades later, more sauna companies are adding this feature as standard. Some such as Clearlight offer medical grade levels of the feature. According to the following website, the effects have earned more notoriety and evidence:
What are Common Sauna Chromotherapy Colors?Red is one of the brighter hues and can increase energy and create excitement. It invigorates a person and energizes the body's organs. When used alongside infrared, it can help promote faster healing. Collagen cells and the skin itself are improved. Orange is similar to red in that it can stimulate thinking and uplifts the emotions. Energy levels are increased and a person's overall mood can be greatly enhanced. Yellow is thought to be more of a spiritual nature, providing a better outlook. Most people are more lighthearted and feel more optimistic around yellow. Green is a universally calming and healing hue. Many who suffer from SAD (winter blues due to lower light levels) often find some relief from green. It can have the effect of offering sharper thinking and clarity. It is suggested that green will program the body to respond by increasing whatever healing is already taking place. Blue is also known to relive depression. It can calm inflammation, headaches and blood pressure. It also has an antibacterial effect on the skin. Many medical offices have images of blue skies and white clouds as the combination is very calming and relaxing. Purple has been shown to often help a person deal with existing pain. It has been shown to help those suffering form fibromyalgia. Even white blood cells are energized by the purple spectrum of light. It is very soothing.
Color Lights as a Sauna FeatureHealthmate Saunas, one of our top rated companies, has a brief but helpful page on this topic. It is a fun, interactive page where hovering over the various icons will change the color of the sauna image, revealing how yours will look as the feature rotates among the various hues. Here is the image on their page when hovering over the red icon and their introduction to this feature:
The same page on their site shares some aspects about White light. We find it particularly interesting that it says white light can increase Vitamin D levels. Vitamin D (which is actually a hormone, not a vitamin) is crucial for many bodily functions and hormone production. We obtain Vitamin D3 when sunlight directly impacts our skin. During winter months or when the sun is below 45 degrees, we do not create Vitamin D3 from sunlight.
White Light as a Chromotherapy OptionWhile we may not think of White light being anything unique or special, when used in light therapy, it can have significant benefits. It is interesting to note what Healthmate states that white light is the most common in LED therapy:
While some of the evidence of benefits is empirical, there is enough that we use this feature at home in our infrared sauna. Consider using this feature in your sauna or including it in your purchase.

What Are the Most Common Essential Oils?Aromatherapy has become more popular with infrared sauna users and some brands now add methods to diffuse these aromas to their sauna product offerings. Here is a brief look at some of the more popular essential oils. Lemon Oil - Invigorate Your Sauna SessionLemon, like orange and all citrus, is invigorating, refreshing and uplifting. It is loved for its clean, powerful scent. Lemon helps with congestion, lack of energy and helps with concentration. A few drops as an air freshener or in a diffuser can fill an entire room with its mood-lifting aroma. This is often the first used in a sauna. Lavender Essential Oil in a SaunaLavender is one of the most popular aromas and for good reasons. It is well proven as a stress reliever and relaxation aid. Lavender is often used for back massages for the same reasons. It is also used for aiding depression, inflammation and as a mild deodorant. It is a mild pleasant aroma that you will enjoy. Rosemary Oil for Your Infrared TherapyIn contrast to the mild relaxation properties of Lavender, Rosemary is strong and robust. It is more invigorating and energizing. However, caution needs to be used with rosemary. It should not be used by pregnant women or anyone taking homeopathic medicines or suffering from hypertension or epilepsy. Despite these cautions, it is one of the top 5 used in aromatherapy. Peppermint Oil is a Sauna RefreshenerWe are very familiar with the many uses of peppermint. From candies and toothpastes to Christmas treats, this is a flavor and scent that is universally enjoyed. Its popularity for use in in sauna aromatherapy is primarily due to its ability to refresh the body and open the sinuses. But caution is needed when using this as the following article points out:
Tea Tree Oil in a SaunaThis is a powerful essential extract, often used as a disinfectant on minor cuts. It is often used topically after surgery to minimize scarring. It has a powerful smell and one drop goes a very long way. It can be used to treat fungus, infections, insect bites and even as an insect deterrent. While this can be used for aromatherapy, caution should be taken as mentioned here:
Refresh Your Sauna Session with Eucalyptus OilThis is a refreshing, mild and sweet aroma. It has been widely used in vapor rubs, creams and even mouthwashes. It has also become quite popular for use in aromatherapy. Eucalyptus can aid in boosting the immune system and has anti- inflammatory, decongestant, antiseptic and antibacterial properties. It can be applied topically as well as used in a diffuser. The inhaled aroma can aid in muscle ache relief, sinus infections and in some cases helps with asthma. It is often used in a spray bottle to clean kitchen and bathroom, or added to a pot of boiling water for a refreshing steam. While used frequently in steam saunas, it has become more popular for use in infrared saunas as well. Perhaps the most popular brand of infrared saunas, Sunlighten Sauna, uses Eucalyptus Wood in as an optional wood in its mPulse model. Sunlighten has this to say about the use of this mildly fragrant wood:
Other choices rounding out the most popular aromatherapy options include oregano, sandalwood and chamomile. Start with lemon or peppermint and you may be surprised how much this adds to your beneficial infrared therapy.

However, it depends on what you want to accomplish. In an infrared sauna, you will have a better detoxification at lower temperatures and you will sweat more at higher settings. Remember that infrared is what heals, not sweating. What is important is getting as much infrared as possible. FAQ - At What Temperature should I set my Infrared Sauna? You want the heating elements to be on and delivering infrared the entire time, regardless of the temperature setting. So ideally you want to set the temperature at a higher level around 140. Then you can enter the sauna when it reaches 110 or 115. Although you will begin sweating a bit sooner if you wait until the temperature is higher, you will lose out on infrared. FAQ - How Can I Keep the Heaters on and Temperature Low?If your unit has a ceiling vent, keep it open. When the temperature approaches 130 degrees, you can open the door to allow cooler fresh air to enter. When the air temp drop below 115, simply close the door. This will provide you a way to control the temperature and keep the heaters on the entire time. This practice is what we do at our home and is one way to ensure the heaters remain on the entire time, delivering the healing infrared. A Lower Sauna Temperature Provides a Better DetoxSweat fulfills two primary functions. It cools the body and it removes waste products out of the body. This is accomplished through two main types of sweat glands. The Apocrine glands, which are located in areas such as the armpits and scalp, secrete sweat which contains higher levels of fats and organic compounds. The second group called Eccrine glands number more than 2 million and are scattered over the entire body, handling most of the sweating process. These Eccrine glands, over the course of a normal day pump out nearly a quart of sweat. However, in a steam environment of 180 degrees or more, they produce this amount in only 15 minutes. While this cleans the pores and skin, it is also excretes higher amounts of electrolytes. Sweating at these 180+ degree levels requires replacing the lost fluids and electrolytes. However, using an infrared sauna at the lower temperatures of 110-125 degrees results in a sticker, more fat-laden sweat and less electrolyte loss. In fact the sweat from an infrared sauna session is comprised of up to 20% toxins compared to only 3% toxins in the sweat produced in a high temp steam unit. This is a main reason it is the better choice for detox purposes. Some users report beginning the session at a low 110-125 degrees for the first 20 minutes and then raising the desired temperature to around 135 to produce a more profuse sweat for the final 10 minutes. Lower Infrared Heater Temperature is BetterOur bodies operate at a frequency of 9.4 microns. The closer the infrared is to this 9.4 microns, the better the absorption of the rays and the deeper the penetration. This also results in more toxins being shaken off the fat cells. This is called resonance frequency. We know that certain sound waves can vibrate glass and a singer’s voice can even break glass. In a similar fashion, the closer the microns are to the ideal 9.4, the better the cellular resonance frequency. Clearlight was one of the first companies to pioneer lower temperature carbon panels that are also powerful in the amount of emissivity and healing they provide. This is one reason they only require heating elements halfway up the sides of the interior walls. Cheaper brands need panels all the way to the ceiling to produce adequate amounts of emitted heat. Individual Heater User ControlsHeavenly Heat is one brand that offers this excellent feature in their products. The user has the ability to turn on and off the two elements nearest them. This allows for better control of both body and cabin temperature. Heavenly Heat is also one of only two brands that have cabin air flow. This not only circulates fresh air in, but the circulated air is also moved along the backside of the heaters. This helps to keep them operating cooler than they otherwise would. The vented air is also filtered out through a carbon filter. This is the only company with this feature. These are a few reasons why that brand is an exceptional choice. It is also the best choice a person should consider for a chemically sensitive person. Their products are hand-made in the USA and are ultra pure and clean. They are unrivaled in this regard. Please read our complete Heavenly Heat Saunas review. The Heavenly Heat website shares this information:
Those are very good insights. What is the Best Temperature Setting for an Infrared Sauna?Set the control panel to at least 130 degrees. A setting above 140 is even better. Enter the sauna when it is between 100-115 degrees. Open the ceiling vent. Once the inside temperature reaches 130-135, prior to the heaters cycling off and on, reduce the air temp by opening the door. This practice will provide the most healing and detox for you. One informational site shares this advice for beginners:
Over time, the more you use your unit, the sooner you will begin sweating.

To give you quick help and tips for your purchase decision, we have attempted to take 5 years of research knowledge and condense it into very brief bits of information and tips. As a result, some of these may appear simplistic but have a lot of power behind them. If you keep them in mind you will save yourself hours and prevent a wrong decision. Here are 7 tips and ways you can choose what is right for your situation. After reading this page, we encourage you to also re-visit our best infrared sauna reviews page for a side by side brand comparison and some of the individual company review pages. Buying Decision Tip 1 - The Sauna CompanyHow long have they been in business? In this industry 40% of all sellers will be out of business 5 years from now, leaving you will no warranty recourse and limited available replacement parts. Longevity usually also provides deeper infrared knowledge and application. Some of our recommended companies have been in business for 20-35 years. Those situations are ideal. They will be here years from now to stand behind their warranty. What is the quality of the people that endorse a particular company? An endorsement from a doctor that is top in his field is better than 5 people who blog about numerous health related issues. Is the company an innovator or do they simply re-sell mass produced generic units? Innovators learn and become cutting edge in their offered features. Has the company changed its name? Usually have the same name for decades is better than a recent name change, although there are exceptions. Sunlighten changed from Sunlight 8 years ago. We could not recommend them for those first few years as disruption and problems accompanied the change. However, they have now moved well past that and are the number one selling brand in the industry. Vital changed to Vital Health in 2015 to better reflect the purpose and that change was not a negative. Sauna Decision Tip 2 -Wood Sauna CabinThicker walls equates to better insulation, lower operating costs, better warm up times and a sturdier unit. Usually this means easier assembly as well. One cheap brand has one-piece walls that flex and bend and are awkward to assemble. What is the wood quality? HealthMate’s construction is exceptional and the wood is gorgeous. This is due to their parent company, PLH Products, being a supplier of wood to dozens of sauna companies and they select the very best for their own units. Sunlighten’s construction is excellent as well as are the upper two lines of Clearlight and others. These brands also prepare the wood by air drying and kiln drying. Cheap names do not prepare the wood which will then begin to crack, split and separate during use due to the numerous heating cycles. The more you will use your unit and the longer you plan to own it, the more important this becomes. Sauna Purchasing Tip 3 - Heater EmissivityThis is really the amount of true infrared the heaters put out, how much of it is able to penetrate your body’s tissues. A lack of posted information does not necessarily mean low quality. If testing is not posted on their site, carefully read our brand reviews and ask the company representative when you call them. Important Purchase Tip 4 - The WarrantyA Warranty will vary from a full lifetime on everything (such as Clearlight’s full lifetime) all the way down to 1 year. The most important areas are the critical expensive parts of heaters, control panels/wiring and wood construction. Instead, it should be considered as part of the company decision. A cheap brand costing $1000 and offering a lifetime warranty will in fact likely offer you very little. It is likely that the brand will be out of business within 5 years and you will be left with no recourse. On the other hand, if it remains viable, the units are very possibly only worth $500 and are overpriced to pay for the numerous units that will fail. Purchase Tip 5 - Heater EMF LevelsEMF Reading Levels are very important, however, not always as much as it seems. A decade ago EMF levels were high in almost every product you could buy. A few companies took the lead reducing dangerous EMF levels and many others have followed their example. A level of 3.0 mG is considered safe. We applaud companies like Clearlight for taking the lead and reducing all models to an average of 0.05 mG. Sunlighten as well has reduced its Signature line to similar ultra low levels. Note: However, the difference between readings of 2.0 mG, 1.0 mG and ultra low 0.05 mG is not nearly as important as heater emissivity previously discussed. Once the emf levels are within safe levels, the effectiveness of the heaters is the critical factor. There are still some brands with levels of 30.0 – 170.0 mG which are extremely dangerous. You can avoid these by avoiding cheaply priced products. 6 - Sauna Design and Layout Should be ConsideredSome corner units look great but have very little foot room and are awkward for 3 people to use. Floor space and floor heaters are things to carefully consider. Some of our top rated companies excel in design. 7 - Your Individual Needs in a SaunaIf you want to spend more time at lower temperatures of 110 – 125 degrees, then individual heater controls could be important. Vital Health and Heavenly Heat are currently the only two brands that allow for this. For infrared, the lower the temperature of the heaters, the closer they are to the ideal 9.4 microns that benefits the body the most. Is it for a chemically sensitive person? Heavenly Heat has the purest cabins and heaters anywhere. They have cabin air flow which is carbon-filtered when it leaves the unit. Do you want full spectrum that includes near infrared? Clearlight, Sunlighten, Heavenly Heat and Vital Health all offer this. Clearlight has 1000 watts of powerful near infrared while Vital offers 600 watts. Sunlighten’s small LED bulb arrays offer a total of 10-40 watts of near infrared. However, their mid range infrared is cutting edge and very effective. Please see the individual review. If you want the faster heat up times of ceramic, Healthmate and Heavenly Heat should be considered. For customization options, Clearlight and Heavenly Heat are your brands to look at first. Clearlight will work with your contractor to build an entire custom sauna room. If you will need to move your unit around once assembled, Heavenly Heat is hand made in the USA and offers optional castors/wheels for no extra cost that make moving the unit around the room a breeze.
These are the 7 main areas we have found that should be considered when purchasing a sauna. Please see our reviews page for the best infrared sauna reviews side by side brand comparison. The more you take these factors into account, the more likely you will end up with the best brand for you. Sourced from Original Article Here: 7 Tips When Buying an Infrared Sauna – What is Most Important? Is There Therapeutic Value in Using Essential Oils?We all know the powerful refreshing smell of the citrus oils when we peel an orange or lemon. That aroma alone can often bring a smile to our face or a boost to our emotions. But is there more to this than just a pleasing smell? Yes, there really is. Aromatherapy is sometimes called Essential Oils Therapy. It is the practice of using concentrated extracts from plants and other natural sources to relieve negative feelings such as depression or anxiety and to prompt the body to begin its own healing processes. The use of a sauna can be a tremendously relaxing experience providing deep healing. So it would make sense to combine these two forms of healing. Before beginning of this addition to your sauna regimine, we first consider these basic but powerful statements from an authority on the subject:
The National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy, called naha, supports those above statements. They go even further to describe it as becoming more holistic and affecting the entire inner body:
How exactly does this practice accomplish all of this? These compounds are extremely concentrated and are not used directly in full strength in most circumstances. They are called essential oils as they are actually the essence of the fragrance of the plant. It is the root essence of the particular smell or aroma of the plant it was extracted from. As a result they are very concentrated. Just a few drops can fill the sauna cabin with the invigorating or relaxing smell. For traditional steam saunas, the steps involve dissolving a few drops in a bucket or container of water. This water is then poured or spooned over the hot rocks or heater, misting the compounds into the air. This in then absorbed by the skin and inhaled. Due to the deep and more rapid breathing that takes place in any sauna, caution is again warranted in using these sparingly. A little truly does go a long way in this instance. Never pour any concentrated oil directly on to any heater or heater rocks. One additional benefit of using this in a steam sauna is due to the very nature of a steam environment. A traditional sauna, with its moisture and sweaty environment can become a breeding ground for various germs and bacteria. While regular cleaning is always recommended, using essential oils in the water used to produce the steam is a way to clean some of the bacteria. It helps to maintain some degree of a sterile environment.
So what are some of the Benefits and Effects of Aromatherapy? There are many calming and healing benefits. However the primary is the stress reduction with relief of depression being listed as a close second. These are addressed in the following article:
While the above post from a qualified site does list an antidepressant benefit from essential oil therapy, we caution and encourage anyone struggling with depression or any medical condition to see advice from a physician. If the depression continues or worsens, seek counsel or medical advice. Lavender, chamomile and peppermint have been shown to aid in minor relief of feelings of depression. If you want to begin this regimen, it is advised to start very slowly with one drop. Some people react strongly to any smells and the concentrated nature of these demand caution. You may not want to add this to your sauna sessions. However, if you do want to give it a try, Vital Health Saunas is one brand that has included aromatherapy as part of its units. They have added a small pad to the oxygen ionizer in their products. You can add a couple drops of your favorite scent to this small pad. They have hinted that a diffuser may be added to their models in the future. However, many find this to be a great addition to the healing nature of infrared or even steam saunas. Give it a try. Start with a fragrance you know you will enjoy. Lemon, lavender and peppermint seem to be enjoyed by many.

EMF are the combination of magnetic and electrical energies that accompany and surround any electrical device. The amount is measured in milligauss (mG). But is it really an important area of concern? In the past several decades, these levels from human-made sources have increased as new technologies and new uses of electricity have increased. Research into the dangers of increased exposure has also increased in recent years. According to many experts, it is becoming more important every year. The World Health Organization (WHO) had this summary statement:
We can see that it is definitely important. But is it important when selecting a low emf infrared sauna and what are your potential risks? Let's first examine that question and conclude with whether or not the infrared sauna industry has been unfairly targeted as many other devices, including cell phones have much higher levels. Specifically, Electromagnetic Fields are electric energy waves at frequencies below 300 cycles per second. The United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Sweden Agencies consider levels below 3.0 milligauss to be safe. The important point is to limit the amount of time exposed to higher levels.
Is EMF Harmful to You?It has been suggested that nearly a third of the population has sensitivity to emf levels and approximately 3% can have severe reactions to exposure. Studies have shown that people using a cell phone before the age of 20 have a five times greater risk of brain cancer. During 1989 and 1990, research gained more exposure when Paul Brodeur wrote a group of articles in the New Yorker Magazine which raised awareness to many scientists. Even stronger articles were written in Time magazine, the Wall Street Journal and Business Week. Soon after specials on the topic aired with Ted Koppel at ABC and on CBS's Dan Rather reports. The health effects reported to be linked to high levels vary but include memory loss, headaches, a weaker immune system, depression and energy loss. Later in 2002 the California Electric and Magnetic Fields Program published its risk and analysis report. This program was based on education, assistance and research in regards to the potential health risks and dangers of Electric and Magnetic Fields. It focused not only on large power lines, but also small electrical products. The stated purpose was to find and report a balanced, fair and responsible analysis of any risks imposed by the electrical fields. Three scientists employed by the California Dept of Health Services reviewed numerous studies and their report included these summaries:
In a similar fashion, the EPA has agreed that studies are not conclusive on the existence or level of potential dangers:
However, several websites including lauralee.com, reported that the Director of Analysis and Support for the Environmental Protection Agency had this opinion:
We can see that it is a big area of concern. However, we think it does not need to be an area of anxiety.
Have Infrared Saunas been Unfairly Targeted Regarding EMF?We think they have. Using a high quality infrared sauna typically will have less exposure than using a cell phone. The important thing to remember is that levels below 3.0 mG are considered safe. It is definitely best when you have the choice, to choose one with lower levels. We applaud companies like Heavenly Heat that has had low readings on their heaters for years and companies like Vital Health and others that continue to upgrade their heaters. Clearlight and other names helped pioneer low EMF. Sunlighten has reduced level below 3.0 in their Signature line. But while we really like seeing Clearlight's levels being tested at 0.05 mG, the difference between even 2.0 mG and 1.0 mG may not be nearly as important as a few other factors. What is more important is having heaters that have high emmissivity so that you are actually getting a tremendous amount of healing infrared. The second factor is simply using your sauna regularly. Brands such as HealthMate, Clearlight, Sunlighten (for one of their models) and others are now posting the third part testing results on their websites. This is great to see. In our opinion, it would be better to not use a cell phone and have a reading of 3.0 mG in your sauna, than to have readings of 1.0 and use the cell phone 5 hours per day. Conclusion We support the companies that have truly lowered EMF levels. They are to be commended. The units we recommend have models with low levels. But there is no need to be afraid of the levels in a top rated brand. The stress of worrying about it while in the sauna may do more harm that the actual electromagnetic fields. Buy one of the brands that we have rated high based on evidence and research. Then use it regularly and know you have avoided any potential dangerous levels of Magnetic fields.

Can Color Lights Really Heal and Improve Mood?Chromotherapy Lights are offered as an option on most infrared saunas. This is a therapy that has been used for centuries. But how does it work and is there any evidence that it helps you at all? What is Chromotherapy? It is the application of color lights to increase the benefits of infrared healing. It is said to balance out any health imbalance in a person. Various colors are purported to aid via their own healing characteristics. For example, green is more healing while red is more invigorating. As each are said to have very distinctive benefits, the colored LEDs usually rotate along the color wheel. However, in most saunas, the user can set it to stop and remain on one hue. If in fact these therapies do have benefits, as we are heading into early winter this could be a benefit for suffers of SAD, Seasonal Affective Disorder. SAD sufferers struggle with the dramatically reduced daylight during winter months. These people often greatly benefit from increased lighting. Simple brighter white or full spectrum sunlight lamps are what are typically used for this purpose. Chormotherpay itself does not directly provide any SAD benefit. However, if this helps lift a person's mood or ease depression, then an indirect benefit is gained. While colored lights therapy is not entirely proven or the most important add on option for a sauna, we do use chromotherapy in our Clearlight sauna at home. Clearlight infrared saunas offer this as a standard or low cost option as do most other brands. History of ChromtherapyTo survive, our bodies do need light, which can be broken down into seven distinct variations. Sir Issac Newton was the first to invent an official color wheel. When he separated the light into 6 colors, he showed that the spectrums moved from red to orange and yellow. Then to green, cyan and blue. He then joined the two ends of the wheel. It is said that colored cloths were hung over the windows of medical clinics centuries ago to aid in patients healing.
The Various Colors in Light TherapyRed is said to be a great energizer, providing energy empowerment and circulation. It is a simulator of liver function and circulation. Orange is meant to stimulate the body, free the mind for greater thinking and stimulate antibacterial effects. Yellow can help a person feel more optimistic and hopeful, providing inspirational thoughts. Green is known for universal healing. It helps muscles relax and holistic practitioners use it for speeding up all types of healing. Blue is known to relieve depression, anxiety, promote relaxation and aid in detoxification. Purple is used to help the mind deal with physical ailments such as fibromyalgia or tension.
Is there any Evidence to Support Color Light Therapy?Prematurely born babies are warmed with infrared in hospitals. Colors have been shown in studies to energize or even calm an aggressive person in less than 20 minutes. So combining them seems to have some possible merit.
The following article from Disabled World agrees with the popularity of this practice. It points out how imbalance is supposed to be balanced by these lights. However it does conclude with a statement of lack of any controlled trial based evidence of benefit:
However, there does appear to be some evidence from studies and medical applications that chromotherapy has some use and benefits. The follow article from NBCI focuses on one aspect of the blue light of the spectrum:
This is an option offered by many sauna companies. As it is an inexpensive option, most opt to have it added to their sauna. While we have no definitive conclusion on this, as previously mentioned, we do use chromotherapy in our sauna at home. At times the rotating colors do seem to aid in relaxation. It could be physiological in nature. Or perhaps simply psychological. However, if the mind is telling you that it is working and thereby relaxes you, perhaps there is merit even in that. Whether you add chromotherapy or not with your purchase of an infrared sauna, our advice is simply to purchase a quality sauna. Begin gaining the benefits from infrared. Those are indeed proven and powerfully effective for deep healing. To your health.

See Full Article Here: Chromotherapy Lights in Infrared Saunas – Are They Effective? via Blogger Chromotherapy Lights in Infrared Saunas – Are They Effective? Do we really need to think about detoxification and are we really exposed to that many toxins? And of greater interest, can infrared saunas help with this removal of toxins. Over the past century, medicine and technology have advanced in remarkable ways providing us with many comforts and products. However this has been accompanied by an ever increasing amount of new designer compounds and toxic materials. While this has been an issue for an even longer period of time, it is the vast amount of chemicals and the concentrations that were not present centuries ago. The environment, water, air and foods are all now saturated with substances that can cause minor and major damage to our bodies. They also just plain can ruin our day to day energy and effectiveness. During the past 4 decades, over 4 million chemical compounds have been reported. Thousands of them are intentionally added to our foods and nearly a thousand to our water supplies. We netnion just one of those later in this article. It is estimated that over 10,000 chemical created compounds become part of our foods during the full processing cycle. Add to this the medicines that remain in our bodies long after we have taken them, radiation and all other forms of toxic bombardment on our bodies. So is there a real problem, is it something we need to address and can we do anything about it? Dy Hyman, well known for his studies and books on detox, provides a few basic straight forward reasons that removal of foreign substances is important:
As Dr. Hyman has correctly pointed out, what we are often told by the scientific community does not equate to the actual science. Toxins are prevalent everywhere, and Dr. Hyman has built an entire career around the topic of detoxification. Need some more evidence? If you have seen the movie Erin Brockovich (which was based on a true story), you know she crusaded to stop a terrible carcinogen called chromium-6 from being allowed to pollute a local water supply. Numerous residents were sick or had died as a result of the chromium. That was almost 3 decades ago. We would think that of all the thousands of contaminants in our environment, at least that one would have been addressed to protect us. Unfortunately, the following article from 3 days ago states differently:
We can see that contaminants enter our bodies every day on a regular basis. But is this a serious problem. Other than the chromium-6 mentioned above, are other substances dangerous. And is it all that prevalent? Does the presence of these substances cause any real damage? The following source, The Townsend Letter, strongly suggests they do cause damage and are widespread. This was based on numerous scientific examples and numerous cases of detoxification protocols, many including use of a sauna. The following (I have chosen to make two phrases bold) are a few carefully selected excerpts from this Letter which itself is over 7000 words in length:
Some additional studies have focused on the pervasiveness of chemicals and how fast we can consume them. But also how fast we can reduce the new exposure. However, it is the acquiring of these foreign substances overs years and decades that causes the real problems. Remnants of chemicals and prescription drugs remain in the body, often stored in little pockets in fat cells in the liver and throughout the body. And this is where Infrared Saunas are brilliant. The healing heat penetrates deep into the tissues, shaking the toxins off of the fat cells. They are then removed by elimination and sweating. It is in this benefit of the detoxification process that the infrared sauna is supreme in its effects. We encourage everyone to begin eating organic food. In addition to the increase in nutritional value, it reduces the toxic burden on your body. This reduces the burden on the liver and other elimination systems. And it will allow methods of true removal of toxins such as infrared heat therapy to be most effective.
